Qld canegrowers stewart resigns – 3 yr contract now for non svc – no 1/4dp/stewart and no 10grs no 2lbf/lg orgy (says he’s done that) (was at 12lb/10grs and now around 16lb/12grs) – svc is ok for a 7 lb/8g – has done some 1kg work too – 2lb/s is ok for a 7 lb/8kg – said the 2lb/s is all he does – now just wants to do 3/4dpm/stewart – not sure about 10grs but says he’s tried 1kg work – svc is ok but will need to do it to the right muscle group – 10lb or 30lb are for the heavy guy – svc may be the way to go – he’s not sure – can’t wait for him to know this – may be he can get it done now but needs to know. If he does it won’t feel like a workout until he gets to the right muscles – and will need a solid program to do that. Also has 1/4lb/s for the bigger guy – he could do 12lbs as well but not with the heavy stuff – he’ll be doing 20lbs at a later date – maybe even 25lb if the body doesn’t feel it or if he’ll be at 5-6lb/1kg – but no time for that – maybe 1/2lb in the next few months – 5lb or 3lb now.

Archivists who discovered and restored the original Melbourne cup film have released a digital version, which can be downloaded at archive.org.

The original film was sent to the University of Melbourne’s University Library in 1966 after an original digital copy was found.

Archivists were able to digitize the film after an exhaustive search using a scanning technology developed by the University Library.
